**Hilltop Farm visitors boost Tree Planting** **- Thank you!**nnFollowing another year of excellent support from our visitors we are delighted to announce that another 200 Oak trees (both native pedunculate oak and the evergreen holly oak) have just been planted on the barn field and a further area set aside for natural regeneration. On a cooperative project with Aveland Trees of Bourne, Lincolnshire, we have reduced plastic protection dramatically and what little there is will be removed and reused within two years. The value of protection for trees that are part of a natural reforestation project, rather than commercial forestry, has always been a matter of debate. Certainly we expect to lose a few more but the overall result will, we believe, be positive over a ten year period. Deforestation is now well established as one of the greatest threats to our world and we intend to act practically and encourage others to do so as a matter of urgency. If you would like a tour and explanation of our policy when you visit just ask. Meanwhile the lovely landscape, walking experience and views around the Lincoln Cliff Edge continues to improve with more major projects planned for the near future.
