May News a new awakening

A Beech Tree with its new flush of leaves on a local Lincolnshire country lane.nnAs I walked down the hill this morning taking in the panoramic view for miles I noticed the ground frost was giving way to a hint of spring warmth under a clear blue sky. The recent blast of cold brought us this interesting picture of a hunting fox. Snow is not unusual at this time of year. On June 2nd 1975, a few days before the start of that long hot summer that continued in 1976, we had two inches of snow on the ground early in the morning.nnAs I write we have a lively group of visitors who are enjoying a special birthday party in the open bays of the barn, with Christmas lights and lots of good food and drink. We hope that over the next few months many will take advantage of the newly opened out camp and barbecue area in the wood with a real open log fire.nnWe think you will now enjoy your experience at Hilltop Farm even more We have completed the current phase of our on-going improvements and re-decoration in the properties. All the art in the barn is original painting so you stay in an art gallery and look out across a beautiful green (and yellow this time of the year) landscape.nnIf you come to Lincolnshire in July the Lincoln Castle and the Magna Carta visitor experience are well worthwhile. Lincoln’s world famous historic town with the castle and cathedral within the old Roman city walls has a host of events spread throughout this special year. It will include an impressive poppy display over the castle.nnThere are one or two short stay slots still available at Hilltop Barn during May.nnWhy not take a look at the calendars for up to the minute availability and prices.nnhttp://www.hilltopfarmholidays.co.uk/bookings.html
