Measuring seven metres in diameter, the moon features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500 000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5 km of the moon’s surface. This is a travelling exhibition and has just finished its exhibit in Lincoln Cathedral, shown in the photo. This is part of the Museum of the Moon experience which has been in Aberdeen and Exeter so far this year. From the 7th to 21st March it will be hosted at Wentworth Woodhouse Country House, near Rotherham in West Yorkshire, so if you are anywhere near it is worth a visit.
