<span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">If you would like to make a visit to Lincoln even more interesting don\'t miss out on the Lincolnshire Life Museum, just a short walk from the cathedral. Entry is free. It is packed with displays of early 20th century farm machinery, wartime engineering (the original military tank was designed in Lincoln) and reconstructions of old shops and homes. When you are ready for a break there is an excellent small cafe there and very informative staff. There is Charles Overton in the picture with a threshing machine, the precursor of the modern combine harvester which was still in use until the late 1950s at Hilltop Farm. These machines were originally driven by steam traction engines which are also on display there.
